My two children have just come back from a challenging yet fun 5 days in The Lake District.
To say they were nervous is an understatement and the fact that they got on the train at Euston was an achievement in itself. The welcome and reassurance given by Denny and the team was simply brilliant.
The fact that I had little communication with them when they were away showed how immersed they were on the course. They developed new skills, met some new friends, and hopefully learnt a bit about themselves. Time will tell on the last point.
The car journey on Friday heading South from London was filled with exciting conversation, stories of bravery (undoubtedly exaggerated!), and lots of reflection. They were buzzing!
